THE FINAL MILE is a strikingly original screenplay from producer
Loyzo Smolinsky, directed by Golden Globe Award®-nominated,
Italian director Franco Nero, based on the true story of elite
marathon runner Vanderlei de Lima and the events of the 2004
Olympic Marathon in Athens, Greece.
The music for THE FINAL MILE will be composed by Brazilian
Academy Award® nominee Carlinhos Brown.
The visual effects are helmed by Gerardo Surzin, the former Art Director
and VFX Feature Film Supervisor of Double Negative™.
THE FINAL MILE takes an in-depth, original, brutally honest and
intimate look into Vanderlei de Lima’s life. It evolves into a
suspenseful drama journeying into the deepest parts of his soul,
touching us all in a celebration of human will, endurance and way
of life.
